Access to opportunity for mental wellbeing is a right,

not a privilege.

Core values

Growth and healing

When physical, psychological, social, moral, and cultural harm happens, people can get stuck and may not be able to move forward. Connections with others foster growth and movement through difficult emotions, loss, and into the future we envision.

Physical, psychological, social, moral, and cultural safety is essential for growth.

External norms and culture should never be imposed on others. Young people should be supported in building their identities related to gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, and other cultural factors.

Shared power

All people have a right and obligation to develop and use their own power in a manner that promotes growth and change and does not abuse or harm. When young people experience shared power, their critical thinking, decision making, and emotional intelligence skills are activated, thereby improving outcomes.
